For at least thirty years, the problem of water in the world has become more and more prominent to the attention of politicians,
scientists and international organizations as one of the great problems potentially capable of triggering disasters and epochs of epoch.
In the 4-lane adjustment of the S.R. n. 2 “Via CASSIA” it has been used BIM methodology (Building Infrastructures Modeling) for the design of 5 viaducts and 17 overpasses, all the works are made of mixed steel-concrete structure. The Santa Giulia viaduct is the main work with a mixed deck with a 3-lane interlocked parabolic intrados with a total length of 200 m. and central span of 80 m.
