The A1 North Branch is a 23 km long highway that connects the A1 motorway from Fiano Romano to Rome with the graft in the Grande Raccordo Anulare.
The project of the work carried out is inherent in the realization of the third lane with extension, in operation, of the motorway 22.5 m. to 32.5 m (3 lanes plus emergency) for every direction of travel.
The highway crosses a territory characterized by a large number of industrial, commercial and residential settlements for a length of about 16 Km.
Besides the adaptation of the existing exits, of Roma Nord and Settebagni, a new exit with toll station near Castenuovo di Porto was created.
The main civil works realized are the bridge over the River Gardner, the bridge with 4 bays on the Tiber river length 160 m, various minor works of motorway crossing, numerous and important hydraulic works of water disposal and finally The installation of sound-absorbing barriers, for about 3.5 Km in length, in correspondence with the inhabited areas.
